I have never made a rag quilt with cotton fabric...only flannel...does it fray the same when washed??? I LOVE this quilt...I know for a fact my youngest daughter would want this lol

I had only made 1 rag quilt before all with flannel and warm and natural batting so I asked on here and the replies said you could also use cotton. It seems to be fraying the same as my other one. Also since I was using warm and natural inside, I didn't want to ruin the look of the princesses by sewing an x through the middle so I sewed a square around the princesses to hold the batting in place on each piece before sewing them all together. It seems to have worked nicely.
