Default My Donation Quilt

Tomorrow I am going to the Martelli Enterprises Christmas Open House. I sent and email to get information about the event and they asked if I could make a lap quilt for a teen. I was tickled to be able to make this quilt in such a short time. I am just beginning my quilting journey. I have made 2 quilts in the last 4 months. I still haven't posted pictures of the first quilt but will as soon as someone tall enough holds it up for me. The donation quilt cost me $9. That is what I paid for the jelly roll at Tuesday morning. I pieced my warm and natural batting and used donated fabric from my stash for the borders and backing. The raspberry polka dots is left over from my first quilt.

Very pretty quilt... did you quilt it as you go? I have a sister that would LOVE this... she's a pastel girl.

This isn't a quilt as you go. Tell your sister to go to YouTube and look for "jelly roll races." In the race, they use 2 identical jelly rolls. Since I only had one, I use borders to make the lap quilt larger. It is almost a twin size. Just perfect to cozy up in a read or watch TV.

Your quilt is very nice, and you did a good job on it. I'm sure that it will be appreciated.
