Here are a few pics of the fabric trios I posted about yesterday. I'm stumped with what I want to do with them. I like simple projects and am drawn to things like pinwheels and the 10 minute block. Not sure what I want to do though. The pink/grey combo is for a baby blanket for our little one due in April. The red/black/tan music set is just some that I really really liked and was drawn to - not a huge fan of the wavy stuff, but thought it would be a good accent or binding if nothing else. The Christmas was going to be a tree skirt, but now I am doing something different for that so now I am focusing on just a quilt, table runner, something. No idea!

Most of the cuts are 1 yard... the pink two are only 3/4 I think, and the grey is more than 2 yds.

Future baby quilt...

Do a rail fence for the baby quilt. Sorry, but I see Ohio Stars with the music and wavy fabric. Not sure about the Christmas fabric though. Good Luck and Have fun!

I'm generally a scrappy quilt kind of girl so this is all new territory to me! It's reassuring to hear that someone else likes the fabric groupings :P

You can always add solids, or nearly solids to coordinate if you find a pattern that requires more colors. Those are very pretty combinations you have picked.

I really like your color choices. I would suggest you go thru some of the photos on the Quilting Board and see if something strikes your fancy. I'm sure we could help you find the pattern of something that you like. Keep us posted on your search!:)

Can't help with patterns but I love your color combos (especially the music set). :)

Patterns that I like for 3 color combos are Disappearing 9 Patch, Rail Fence, and Churn Dash.

I thought about trying to enlarge this block since she will be a "spring bloomer"...

http://www.quilterscache.com/S/SpringBloomersBlock.html

It's almost identical to DD's baby quilt, but the corner details are different, and I will be using different fabrics. I was thinking, if nothing else, I could make the center focal block the original 14", then do a small border, a thicker pinwheel border, than another smaller border to finish it up. That would definitely make it her own. What do you think? Next would be deciding fabric placement...
