This is the quilt I made for my hubby. He served in the Marine Corps Reserves and the regular Army. After seeing several quilts of valor come through my home, he was sort of jealous. He said, "I was a soldier, too." :) So, this is his. He is sooooo proud of it. I kept putting his on the back burner. Finally, he said, "If you don't hurry up and finish mine, I may not live to see it." SO!!! I got on the ball. :) It is done!!!

That is awesome! I use pillow panels in quilts every now and then, but never thought about doing it in this manner.

I used three pillow panels for the middle section of flag, Marine emblem and Army emblem. The back is co-ordinating fabrics with three left over saw-tooth blocks.

I will!! He said in "his time" soldiers were not treated very well...sometimes like dirt. So, he really appreciates that now and is so proud that people have come to show appreciation for our wonderful military!! Anyone that sacrifices their lives and their time for this country, needs recognition.
