Turquoise and purple were the colors I had for my wedding - 41 years ago. Still love the combination.

Yes! Aside from all the cursed pressing of the seams, it really went together pretty quickly, and now that I've discovered the 1/4-inch piecing foot for my machine (after HOW MANY YEARS?!?) my blocks actually line up now. I haven't been telling any of my non-quilting friends how it's made so they all think I pieced every little rectangle individually...I haven't let on the secret so they all think I'm either amazing or insane. ;-)

41 years!! Congrats! We have our 16th anniversary next week.

It's a lovely color combo. I gravitate more towards blacks and reds for myself so it's nice to work with different color schemes. I'm having tons of fun using other people's favorite colors for their quilts, it's like trying on someone else's personality for a few hours at a time.
