Cool My first Denim project

I cut hexis from jeans that were not being worn any more and lots that were kindly donated by family and friends,I cut the hexis in half and made the pattern up as i went along. I decided to make a cover for the TV as I hate seeing the huge black patch on the wall! I bound the edges with the only denim as well - (I bought this as I wanted a uniform finish on the edges)
The back has a slot holding a length of dowel to hold it in place.

The use of various jean colors is striking.

That's pretty neat! I never would have thought of covering our TV ... it's alway's on!

I like the braid design

I love denim and also thank you for the half hexie idea. I just bought a half hexie ruler from MSQC to fit a charm pack and you have given me another insight of how to use it....I can't make a cover though....unfortunately for me, hubby keeps it on from daylight to bedtime!

I love your screen cover - what a brilliant idea!
I also think modern TVs are ugly.

Very inventive! Have you seen the new big screen TV’s that will show the wall behind it or display a painting?

Nifty. If you hadnt told us, I would have thought it was a textile art. Great idea for covering the TV screen.
