I finished this quilt yesterday. It's a UFO from 2005 and was intended originally for my parents' 50th wedding anniversary. The size of the quilt (89x108) was just too hard for me to quilt at the time. Anyway, in January, I started a goal of quilting one hour a day on anything. So got this done despite how heavy and big it was. I would have finished it the day my Dad passed away (2 days before their 56th anniversary). I had originally intended not to quilt the trees so that they would 'pop' but mom wanted them quilted.

I am providing a link rather than an upload, at least until I buy a new SD reader.

The pattern is called Pine Groves and it is in the Thimbleberries Book of Quilts by Lynette Jensen.

Gorgeous quilt! Sorry about the loss of your father. It's wonderful that your parents were married 56 years - quite an achievement.
