So I wanted to make a bow tuck but too cheap to buy the pattern. I also had this very specific fabric that would dictate the size of the bag so I read a few patterns on line and made this this morning. It isn't perfect but not bad considering no pattern. I crosshatched the orange and free motioned blah, blah with blah blah and I dont know what I was thinking on the back. What do you think?

    gotta love maxine

Cute! I don't use patterns for bags, either. More $$ for fabric.

Love Maxine and your colors. It will be a great conversation bag when you tote it out and about. Good job!

Everything in the bow-tucks pattern is lined with fusable fleece. I find that makes the purse a little heavy. Did you use any fusables in your cute purse?
