I love the OBW quilts and the bargello quilts, but they scare the daylights out of me. One of these days I'm going to stiffen up my backbone and try to make one.

OK, I'm with Jan C. above. What is OBW and what is the "idea", "signifancy", or whatever behind it. I've been quilting for years, but am still tryig to learn the new jargon. Thanks for any help. BTW (see, got that one) love the quilt.

It is beautiful! Please, don't stop with just one. Go feed your cat first.

This a good-looking quilt. Don't think "busy," think "abstract!" OBW's are sort of like colorwash quilts--of another stripe. Different, and not to be evaluated like "traditional" designs. It's their nature, in other words, to "dance!"

Looks good to me! I love that it looks like a kalidascope. They were so much fun as a kid to look through the eye piece and see the changing pattern. That is what you have done with this quilt. Great Job!
