I really like that. I wouldn't have thought of color-coordinating the HSTs and going that route. It turned out great!

Really cute and I would choose a border fabric depending on the purpose. If it is going to be a child's quilt I would use one of the cute novelty prints for the border. If it is going to be a couch quilt for myself then a black border would highlight the colours. Glad you are over your slump in such a great way!

I have two ideas: Maybe two borders-the first a narrow solid color, then a wider one in your favorite print
Second, a solid border, maybe black, then a scrappy binding from the fabrics in the quilt. It is lovely!

A darker border would be nice.

Love your layout. Glad your over your "slump" but really think you were recharging your creative juices. Borders are so important, or the lack of them. I agree with Tartan, depends on how it is going to be used. I usually like darker solid borders because they make the "interior" of the quilt pop. In this case maybe a lighter solid border or borders because the quilt is so sunshiney.

A narrow black border with a wider border of one of the colors in the quilt top that suits you such as purple, green or pink.

Your quilt top is beautiful and glad to see you are out of your slump!
