I like Elle's idea to buy a kit better!! This was done years ago on a design wall. All family members contributed ideas/suggestions. They were the ones who insisited the cross be longer at the base. I didn't know anything back then about taking the angle off a square--that's one unique creek path, wouldn't you say? No erosion has occurred.

Elle's f-l-o-w-s ever so gently. Mine is more like cars in a demolition derby.

I remember cringing at the thought of removing every piece to be sewed.

But--it's up on a wall. Good thing we have a lot of them. :D

There's something about it that just looks really good. Maybe call it a varation to a streak of lighting?

When I look at how it's supposed to be done--my heart race slows and I feel calm. When I look at mine, I hear the sound of cars squealing brakes to try not to run into each other in a traffic jam.

    I'm cracking myself up...

I saw a cross being overtaken by flowers with a gently flowing creek running by so clearly in my mind! :D

It's quilted with clear thread--there's a sun in the upper left hand corner and the rays go down. You'd think after all these years of sunrays--those 90* angles would smooth over some.  (okay--I'm up past my bedtime--I'm going up now.)

I have a LOT of leftover squares--I think another attempt is planned for project number...let me check...ah yes...#627.

I realy like it, you did a super job with no pattern I couldn`t have done that, sofeather in your hat lady.

I like the sun rays and truly you are doing yourself an injustice here, think we are far too critical of our own work.
    Lovely lovely, :D
