Default My First Scrap Quilt

I've been cutting leftover fabric into 2.5 inch squares ever since I started quilting four years ago. I finally made a scrappy quilt out of them. The solid blocks gave me an opportunity to practice some free-motion quilting. When I made the quilt design for the solid blocks, I was thinking flowers. But the finished product reminds me more of M&Ms scattered all over the quilt! No matter... I wanted a quilt to use on my bed, and I finally have one that I don't want to hang on the wall.

Your quilt looks so wonderful, and I think your fmq of the solid colors is right on! I looked at the pictures before reading you comments and I saw the quilting as flowers. Maybe you are just craving m&ms after all this wonderful work.

Ditto. I also looked at the pictures before reading all of the text. I also recognized the quilting as being flowers right away. I stared at your beautiful matching of seams in your quilt. Very, very nice. Thanks for sharing.
