Default My Friend Corky

One of my dear friends was born profoundly deaf. So she has always had a helper dog and loves Boston Terriers. She recently had to have him put down. She's a trooper but I know she is missing him. I made this for her but entered it in our recent quilt show. She has not said anything to me yet as she doesn't know it is for her. The quilt show label title is simply My Friend, but the label on the back is titled My Friend Corky... I covered that label with painter's tape so she couldn't tell... I'll see her again tomorrow and will give it to her.

I put a flange binding on it because I didn't have enough time to hand sew the binding on the back before the show And I don't like to hand sew either, so am very slow at it.

Well done and sweet story. We are a family of many generations of boston's, and I think your little quilt captures them perfectly.

Very well done! She'll love it!! I wish I had a wall hanging like this to honor my favorite of all times dog, Maggie, a Manchester Terrier. Best little dog in the whole world!

Very cute! I find flange bindings work really well on wall hangings due to the extra thickness making the edge more stable.

Aw, so sweet and thoughtful.

I am trying to come up with a memorial mini for my sweet Snowbabi that passed last Friday. This is inspiring to me.

Your friend is going to love it.
