Okay, I have a few machines, but this is my favorite! Is it really that funny? It's the smoothest and "brightest" of them all! Am I the only one that loves the older models?

Are the stitch patterns lit up? I love it!! My momma raised me with the philosophy that as long as it works there is no reason to replace it! I have two machines -- a little Janome that is a workhorse, and a computerized Pfaff. I love both of them for different reasons. Let them laugh all they want -- maybe they're just jealous!! :? ;-)

It's a Touch Tronic! I call her the beast because she is so heavy! It really is a better machine than my fancy Husqvarna!

I have a new Viking Sapphire and while I love my machine, I would trade you any day! They just don't make the machines like they used to so I say use yours 'til it dies!! :)

I had that exact same machine! My husband bought it for me for my birthday in July of 1980. We had been married for 1 year at the time. I 'retired' it in 2000 when I bought my Viking.

Nice machine. My favorite is an Elna Supermatic that I bought back in the early '70's. A real work horse. Needless to say it does not have a computer.

I also have a Janome Gem and Pfaff CV. I use them for different jobs too. I also have mum's 1970s Singer which has been serviced but I haven't used it yet.

I have a 1425 from 1982. My daughter has it now but when she goes to France to teach in the fall it has to come to Momma! Loved that machine! Does yours have the drop in bobbins that are bigger on the top than on the bottom? Mine wound the bobbin in the case and I loved that! I thought my Janome was a step backwards with that! AND the feed system was just perfect! Rubber instead of teeth. Love that machine. Let them laugh!

Does anyone else see what I am seeing? The light is exactly where I wouold want it to be. It is where you can see the edge of your fabric and would make sewing 1/4 inch seam so much easier.

Let me get this straight - the name is
    Singer Touch Tronic? right?

Does anyone have one to sell????

I have some machines from the 90's but I sure would love to have this one. Older is Better.
