Default Can you tell me the name of this pattern

My friend posted this quilt on her facebook wall, it is an heirloom quilt from the 1940-1950's. She wants to see if she could find a pattern, can you help me.

Thanks

I dont know what it's called but I LOVE it!! The first thing that popped in my head was a good name for it in my opinion would be 'North Star'.
