Thanks everyone for your nice compliments!! Thank you lpsewing! I will show some close ups as I get this together. Just took quick pics today. There are some fun and beautiful fabrics in this quilt! This is one quilt with 2 different views! Amazing, isn't it?

I love using up the scraps. I do this and I do a flip and sew on muslin making blocks any size you want. The muslin can be the batting and then all you need is a backing and binding. I use up left over binding that way as well. Great work.

It's brilliant! This will be a stunner when it's done. I too love to see the blocks stack up as I love the quilting and binding aspect of this craft the best. Thanks so much for sharing this with us.

You have a GREAT idea! I've done this before but have always added the batting too as I like it heavy and puffy! ha. Never thought of letting the muslin be the batting but I'll try that some time since batting has gotten expensive. Thanks, pilgrim!
