Beautiful, I watched a video on Kaye Wood tv, a lady doing a paperpieced mariners compass, simply beautiful, and looked so easy, no wonder their points look so good.

No paper pieced. It's a pattern from Phillipps Fiber art. You need two special tools and they have a tutorial on their site on how to do it. You cut out the pieces and they get folded and sewed together. Sew perfect 1/4 " for the points of the stars and it turns out that way.

Wow, thanks for sharing. I'm definitely going to check out the tutorial, especially if it's not paper pieced!

I love marina compass blocks. Never seen one not PP. I have several blocks but haven't made anything with them yet.

I haven't tried Mariners Compass. Oh no another thing on the to do list. Love paisley fabric. you have done a great job.
