for those who wanted to see the whole quilt here it is ....... sewn with pearl cotton embroidery thread ... it took about 6 months to make each quilt .... this quilt is made from neckties from friends and family ..in the 80's she started buying neck ties from Goodwill for 5 dollars a big trash bag and only used the silk ties .... this was her thing and she loved it .... lost her 4 years ago... she is greatly missed

thanks so much for sharing!
My mom and I were just talking about neck tie quilts last week. I told her NOT to throw out any of daddy's ties! (he's a pastor and has A LOT of ties, many of which I've bought him over the years - as a child it was my favorite gift to give him lol)

I will post the pillow pics which I made in a while they were my beginings to neckties and crazy quilting .....all sewn by hand
