To all my friends on the Quilting Board;

I have almost all my flowers finished and I am almost finished doing the leaves for my Flower Garden Quilt. This is the quilt that members from the Quilting Board sent 3 inch blocks for me to have something to keep me busy while in the hospital.
I thought you would be interested to see one of the steps that has to be taken before you can start putting the Quilt together. There are around 3,000 Hexes that have to be basted to the paper Hexes, before you can start to put the quilt together.
When I finish the green leaves,which had 355 hexes, I will have 314 hexes to do in a cream total for the background, and 38 more flowers, to complete, before I can start following the pattern that I designed for the Quilt. That will be the fun part.
I hope to have leaves and flowers finished during my next stay at the Christian Center Starting after July 11th. I will not be in contact with the board after the 11th. No PC will be availabe for me at the center. Will chat with you for the next week while I am still in St. Peters, then and again after I am sent home.
I keep repeating the THANK YOU to every one that has surported me during the time that it is taking for my hip to recover. You all have been wonderful. Thank you again
Dick

Will you be adding butterflies to this quilt? I loved your pics to the butterfly garden.
