She was Born April 8, 1953 and it only cost me $60.00. She is in great shape only needed a little cleaning., Very dusty. I had it service and it really did not need to. I will be refurnishing the desk. It purrs so wonderful. May start using today. I cannot wait.

Oh, how beautiful - and you got a good deal, too! :) You're going to be so happy with this machine for piecing and free-motion quilting. :)

I can't really tell from the photos, but it looks like you might get away without refinishing if you use a product called "Dr Woodwell's Wood Elixir." I bought a little bottle of it to try and I swear, I'm going to get a gallon next time.

You brush it on and let it sit and then buff the surface and let it dry. It took care of the same kind of spotting as you have here on the top of your cabinet. Two of my favorite cabinets are nice enough looking now that I don't have to throw a doily over them. One of them needed three treatments, but areas which I thought were toast are very nice looking now. A little vinegar-y smelly, but very easy to use. No sanding or stripping! :)

I'm not affiliated with this company - I just LOVE this product for all the work it's saved me. I'm going to do my front door, next. :) http://drwoodwell.com/

Have fun with your new "old gal," and keep her busy - they are happier when they're sewing! :D
