I know we have a couple of new babies(two legged variety!), so I was a little surprised to see your "baby".... Have you named her? She looks just like her daddy....hahaha...nice machine, no diapers!

I am so in love with this new Janome! I am lusting after one - but I have 3 kids in college this year and tuition has to come first! Let us know how you like using her! I have a 10,000 Janome embroidery machine and just love it but I want a machine just for quilting! Enjoy!

I think I will call her Sassy. That is a good name. So far I have been trying all the different stitches and using the blanket stitch to sew on the appliques on the Back on the Farm blocks. I have also been working on the back of my Rapid Fire Hunter's Star.

Sassy looks just like mine. Mine has no name yet. Gotta just love that thread cutter. I even love the knee lift. Getting a bit more coordinated with it. What a time saver. Sews great, beautful blanket stitch. It does not like bulky seams though. Going over flying geese points on outside edge, it seems to bog down and takes tiny tiny stitches. Have to pull material threw which I don't like to do.
I still love it though. Should be last machine I ever need.

The knee lift is great becuz it is adjustable. I could not reach the knee lift in my 6500 so my husband had to bend it so my knee could touch it. I love the thread cutter too. My only problem with it is that I can't seem to find the same blanket stitch size that I had with my other machine. I am sure I will get used to it.
