Hi Everyone!

Thank you for all your great ideas for my Rottweiler quilt. I have turned in a new direction. My daughter told me that Rich loves Rottweilers, that he is very patriotic and that he is a staunch supporter of our troops.

I went to my LQS to find fabrics to match the Rottweilers and hanging in the entry was this beautiful patriotic panel. I turned in that direction (the quilt pattern by Nancy Rink is below). However, I am planning to piece the back of the quilt with the Rottweiler panels and tie them into the colors on the front. Thanks again for all of your suggestions. Yolanda Wood River

What a delightful way to incorporate several aspects of the recipient's interests!

I can hardly wait to see this all put together. I love the idea of combining the two themes. I'll be watching your progress:)

As I give this idea more thought, I am questioning how it could be quilted. Would have to focus on the front but not ruin the back. I may have to give this some thought. Maybe someone has an idea to help me with this part of the process. Thanks in advance. I value your opinions. Yolanda

That will be a nice quilt - I had rottweilers for years - they are very misunderstood - but very good family dogs - now I have french bulldogs - they are good for me and hubby because of their portability. Good luck.
