I've been looking for this machine for a while. It's the one my mom had when I was growing up and the one I learned to sew on. I wanted one for sentimental reasons but not only does she work, she has a fabulous cabinet as well! She's in the shop getting a chemical bath and tune up as we speak. And at $40, what a deal!!

Hope the link is still up so you can see her.

Sure do. I learned how to sew in 7th grade, my mom tried to teach me but we just ended up getting mad at each other. Once I knew the basics I was able to use my mom's machine - I sewed clothes, prom dresses, made alterations, did free motion embroidery on it, had a button hole attachment that took a rocket scientist's mentality to use but by golly I made button holes too! Hopefully the motor is still strong, I definitely plan on using this machine.

I'm looking for a early 50s White for the same reason. You're lucky to have found that one.

I am so excited for you to find the machine you have wanted! And wow, what a great tuneup price.
