I recently finished a quilt for my husband for father's day - it was the watch quilt. He loves watches. I thought I would like to have a quilt about my favorite things - shoes and purses. I also put in rose buds (hopefully you think that those blocks look like rose buds) as a teenager my dad owned a nursery and I raised miniature roses. The Hearts represent my 4 children. I did mitered corners on the outer border. Thanks for looking.

it is lovely. And it is so wonderful with all of your favorite things. You did a great design using those things.

Thank you. The blocks are all PP. The Shoes were in a magazine recently. I made one block like the pattern then removed the strap from the other block. The heart block, and purse blocks I found free on the internet. I also altered the purse blocks - making the rounder bag and then adding the corners on the bottom of the purse. The rosebud I actually drew out myself.

That is so neat, I was thinking of making my granddaughter in San Diego one similar to yours. I got the applique for dress, bags from fatcat and the shoes I think for simplicity or mccall patterns. Thanks for sharing.
