My MIL gave me her sewing machine cabinet after I purchased my new sewing machine. There were problems however, it was much to tall for my short legs and arms and my machine did not fit the alloted area. So my hubby took it apart, totally rebuilt it and stained it. It is so wonderful to have it! I am delighted with how it works so perfectly.

It is so wonderful to be able to sit comfortably and have extra space to place scissors, pins and be in the same room with the ironing board. LOL. I have been making dish towels with flour sacks. Attaching bindings is not one of my strong points by any means....so this is a great project to get the feel of the cabinet with.
