DH's cousin Rachel is having her first baby. The shower is next Sunday so I decided to make her a baby quilt. I decided to use the same pattern as the Downy Quilts since it was fast and easy. I started this about midnight this morning and finished about 6:30AM. I couldn't sleep, so I might as well sew. It's not done in the traditional baby colors, but it is very fun and bright!! I really like this one. The binding and backing will be in the same green as the inner border. She is having a girl and I think it reads girl, but not ultra-girlie. The focus fabric was directional, so I really had to concentrate on placement of the blocks and borders to make sure everything was going in the right direction. It was a lot of work mentally, but I am so proud of this quilt!! For the first time 99% of all my points match!! I think I may now call myself an intermediate quilter...no longer a beginner. A major accomplishment for me..took me long enough though!! This will be quilted/binded tomorrow. I am going to work on something mind-numbing for awhile. Enjoy!! I am now to going to spend the rest of the day hiding in my sewing room!!

I just now noticed DS is holding it upside down!! It really does go the right way!!
