MamaBear ... What size and type of cording do you use?
and where do you buy yours? Fabricland? Lens?
The only cording/piping I have used was on throw pillows and Christmas stockings and they were fairly thick (about the size of your little finger). I have found Len's to have more colour selection than what was at Fabricland. The Fabricland in Stratford though is now called a home decor center and has improved their inventory on their trims, etc.
There was a posting here where a member made flange as part of their binding. It was a flat flange, not like cording but it give a unique look. I will see if I can find it. I should have bookmarked it at the time because I thought it was a nice idea to dress-up a quilt edge.
Yes, that might be a tad too big ... though I know you can get one that is kind of satin-like, twisted like a rope, 1/4" max. I've seen it but never paid much attention not having any need.

Thanks for the link ... I had looked at it before, as it was part of the previous group posted. I've done that before for wall hangings instead of a teeny tiny border strip.

I love the colors! Beautiful! I have a OBW that I have ready to be assembled but it's a brighter one. I like yours better!
