Default My Original 3D Maze Quilt

I have loved mazes since I was young. I used to beg my mom to buy me those pocket puzzle books filled with mazes so I could spend hours solving them. Who doesn't love a maze? Ever been to a corn maze? I took my kids there every year or so to have the experience, with them, of course.

So, with grandchildren in mind, I made this 3D maze for them to play on. I can imagine them driving their cars or riding their ponies through it. They can go looking for treasures tucked into the dead ends. They can be on a rescue mission.

I have never been one for a plain backing. This one looks like it has town roadways. With the pebbling, it creates a network of possibilities! The creative play is endless!

Now...if only my young adults would get married and have some children...

I quilted this maze on my DSM. The pathways are all pebbled so they look like they are lined with stones. Yes, it did take a long time, but the effect is worth it. The rest is SID.

I have a few more of these coming along and will post them when I'm done. These mazes are of my own design. Any similarity to any existing mazes is purely coincidental. LOL! Sounds like a disclaimer n the postscript of a novel.

Very nice job on the design. Your future grand-kids should enjoy hours of playtime.

Love it. Did you have a pattern or did you just make this up? I also had to find my way out. My granddaughter and grandson would really love this quilt. Thanks for sharing. BrendaK

Your own designs? I want your book! When does it come out in paperback? Love it and can't wait for your next one! If you aren't printing a book, at least work on a tute for us, PLEASE?! My oldest son is obsessive with mazes and would love this. Thanks for sharing.
