Loving the tree trunks, the tree tops and 9 patches. Seeing it all start to finish is fun!

This is from an Aussie quilting magazine - and I bookmarked it as a holiday project.
I go back to work next Monday.

Latest picture - patches spread out on my bed.

I've got to pin these together in the order they are and sit and put them together...this is the long and tedious bit now...
but....it's so nearly done!!!!!

Did you really do all this in one day? It is absolutely gorgeous. What is the holiday you're making it for?

No... I collected the fabrics last week. I cut the fabric on Tuesday, made the trees on Wednesday, and today, Thursday, pieced the 9-patches and I've made 6 strips of alternating trees/9-patch blocks.
Tomorrow will be time enough to put the rows together and the border on.
I am on 2 weeks annual leave and return to work on Monday. This was MY personal holiday project.
