Here's what I wanted:
Big - check
Sturdy - check
Lots of storage underneath - check
Correct height for me - check

It's wonderful! I hope to one day have a room big enough to keep a permanent pressing table.

We bought the shelving unit at Ikea and turned it on it's side, bought a "craft board" and "L" brackets from Lowe's Hardware and got ironing board fabric at Pacific Fabrics.

Assembled completely in about an hour.
