Here is a picture of my quilt that is included in RaNae Merrill's new book Magnificent Spiral Mandala Quilts. Her book is really wonderful and I was honored to be part of the group of people who participated.

wow magnificent. is it thread that makes the stars on the blue fabric or is that how the fabric is? I wish that I could get my hands on it to get a better look at it.

Thank you all. You can go to ranaemerrillquilts.com to see RaNae's work and also her books. She also has fabric she designs which is absolutely gorgeous.

There are 675 pieces in the quilt center, all paper pieced. The stars in the background were quilted and then I used a metallic gel pen to highlight them. I wanted them to echo the star in the center.

You can also access the blog with all the quilts in the book by going to RaNae's website and following the link there. Mine is by far the least impressive of the lot.
