I would type the story and paste it to the back of the frame so that future generations can know the meanings.

That is very nice!! You did an awesome job and it is truly a tale of you and quilting. That will become a family heirloom in years to come!
I am working on a Carol Doak Scrappy Star mini quilt pattern. The stars are made up from 1 1/4" blocks that contain nine fabrics, so far I have three small blocks done and have thirty-three more to go!
