Hi, this is my Fairy Godmother from Paper Panache. Her name is Toppann and I wanted to practice my fmq on her, so got a bit carried away I guess. I've put my rough draft up first but decided to go bold on the finished piece.

Wow! So amazing. Love your Quilting Fairy Godmother. I have not started mines yet! I need to enlarge my pattern first.

She's great! So many of others that I have seen have such a harsh look to them but she indeed looks regal! Very pretty and well done. Love your use of colors to soften her a bit.

I bet she was fun to make. I love how you colored a pattern first.

She looks just like my grandma Flora. It just happens that I very recently inherited Flo's White Rotary Treadle Machine. Thanks for the reminder of her. I hope your godmother is kind and loving and brings you joy always.

How did the godmothers get started? I would have liked to try one. Was there a pattern? Thanks for your help, Michele

The patterns are on the website for paperpanache.com. You will need to answer a few preference questions and they will then let you download the sheets you need for paper piecing. They've also got a gallery of the finished ones going for everyone to see. It really wasn't that difficult, just fun! Glad you like her.
