we finally got the basement turned into my quilting/sewing shop. It is wonderful. Right now I am working on a civil war era dress for my granddaughter for her school play. I needed to take a break and thought I would send some pics.

Really nice! Love your drafting table. I use one too! I love that it tilts so I can see what I am cutting and not strain my neck.

How will you ever reach the stuff on that shelf above the desks?

Yes i love the drafting table. Especially after my DH attached my cutting mat to it. I have no trouble reaching the baskets on the shelf. When he was putting them up, he had me reach up and he measured so he knew where to put the shelf. And if i want to reach the very back of the shelf, I have a step stool. I am not sure you can see it in the pics but the shelf is on a drop down wall that is covering all the florescent lighting. When I am sitting at my machines, I turn on the lightse and they shine down with no shadowing. It is perfect.
