The fabrics used in this one is flannels and cotton plus the bright green blocks are home spun. Didn't have any fuzzies, the flannels were good heavy weight flannel. Lots of threads & lint in washer and dryer though and on the floor!
When I made Jennies quilt I matched fabric backs to fronts, in this one, I had lots of some fabrics and not many of others, so make this one with flannel on one side and cotton/homespun on the others, with no restriction which were on the raggy side.

I washed my raggy quilts a couple times. After the washer stops, I take the quilt out side and shake it hard to get the "crap" off. The start again, I let them get to the spin cycle and restart the washer. After going through all those cycles they are soft and cuddly.

I sew this is diagonal rows. Row 1 will have one block. Row 2 has three block, row 3 five blocks. Each row will extend on block beyond the previous Row on both side creating the point along the top and one side. Then when you get enough for the width of you quilt the extra block for the other side and bottom. Clear as mud?

Here is one I did with a trip around the world design in it. I used the left over scraps from this quilt to make valances.
