I have an assortment of sewing machines. It all started when I wanted to learn how to work on them and make that another business opportunity. I've been collecting for several years, but as yet have not found a training program. Does anyone know of a reputable online course for a reasonable amount to learn how to repair sewing machines?? I don't have alot of money tied up in these, they ranged from free to $40, with most of them being around $5-10. So, if they turn out to be un-repairable, perhaps I can use the parts.
I have a Singer "Rocketeer" Slant-O-Matic 500a,
Dial-a-Stitch w/case,
Kenmore 158.13540 w/case,
Viking Husqvarna 6440 w/case,
Montgomery Ward UHT J 1954, and UHT J 1829,
Necchi 525,
Singer Fashion Mate 252 w/case,
(2) Singer Golden Touch and Swears, I mean Touch N Sews 750 - each w/case,
Singer 600 in cabinet,
Precision Zig Zag in cabinet,
and my favorites -
Brother PS1250 and
Singer Serger 2054 w/Differential Feed.
Thought you might like to see the pics, so here they are..... (Excuse the mess in the background, but sometimes it's even worse, lol)

Well, right now it's not too difficult. Most are in various stages of dis-repair and need something or other done to them, or maybe needing a pedal (2 need pedals). My Brother is my best right now, and it only cost me $5 at a garage sale, it needed a pedal which I found at a repair shop for FREE (he wouldn't charge me for it since he had to splice it. Perfectly safe, but he didn't feel he should charge me. So, I bought some bobbins to thank him. lol) And the serger works great, it was $35 at a garage sale. I use the Kenmore as backup right now if needed....

That's quilte a collection! What does the Rocketeer need? Are you interested in shipping a machine?

WOW...I love it. I would be in seventh heaven if I could set up all my machines in one place. I have 14, and I LOVE them all, and they all work. Just look at manuels, it will tell you everything you need to know, and just start digging in on them. Fun Fun!!!
