Default My 'Scrappy' Week of Sewing

It's winter time, the weather is dismal so what could I do but SEW ! This week I had so much fun doing scrap blocks. Tipped out my scrap tub onto the kitchen bench and sewed happily away.

This is what I got achieved for the week.

Photo 1 - my usual day sewing, scraps everywhere !

Photo 2 - got all these blocks done for a scrappy quilt, quite a few more to come to make the quilt a decent size

Photo 3 - some scrappy (or rainbow) fishes, will make a cute kids quilt

Photo 4 - 'auditioning' a block which I hope to use to make one of my selvage quilts and I think it will work out fine

I also finished off a couple of swap quilts and managed to get another swap quilt top sewn ready for quilting.

Now I have 3 whole days away from the sewing machine - oh my, I wonder how long before the withdrawal symptoms kick in

Enjoy and thanks for looking

Wow, you had a very productive week! I am very jealous. I love the "audition" block and I agree it will make a delightful quilt. My 7 year old daughter, Bridget, states that the rainbow fish quilt needs a cat in the corner trying to get the fish.

I love your creativity. It may help me to get motivated on my scrap heap.

Very nicely done. Funny to hear that it's winter and cold there. I'm sitting my air conditioned living room because it's too hot to go out.

All are very nice though my favorite is the first one, too. The quilt will be striking when it's finished.

Very good use of scraps. I need to start using mine again. The first one is my favorite too.
