I would google it and see what came up. The search engine for them is the best!

What a find! When you get it running, it will probably be a work horse! They made them to last back then. The new ones are pretty touchy! My sister has the one my mom used and another one that was mom's cousin's machine, both in cabinets. I might have to re think this and see if she will give one of them up. I DO have more room, at least I would if I re organized my stash! :?

I posted this in your other thread in the Main section, but I have the next model up from yours, I finally found the english version of the manual so I can photocopy the manual and send it to you if you want, it can't really be THAT different. I wonder if it's possible to get any old cams for this machine?

Baren's photo looks like my machine, but not the base. My base looks like Dojo's. I got mine in 1971 and it still works wonderful, it is a work horse. I have had it serviced only 5 times in all those years! I had to have th bobbin winder replaces cuz post or whatever is made of pig iron and the repair guy said it is the only part on the machine that should break....it is practically indestructible.

Do you have the cams? They have very nice decorative stitches.

If you take it to be serviced (cleaned, make sure the tension is good etc), they could probably tell you more about the machine.

You got a fantastic deal!

warm quilt hugs, sue

I have a Kenmore I got in 69 or 70 can't remember. Yours must be early 60's or late 50's as it looks nothing like mine. Somewhere on it I found a date of the year so I knew it was a year old when I got it. I had to take my free arm Kenmore (22 years old) (2nd machine)for service. They cleaned, oiled & re timed it. It was worth the $55.00 dollars I spent. I would recommend it highly. I use this second machine for jeans & zig zag stuff. My mom has a White she got in 50's. It has a box of cams to use but I never tried any of them & I don't remember her ever using them either. Get some canned air, it is really good for cleaning out junk, kunk & fuss.
