Love the old cabinet! I still have one like it but never thought of using it in sewing room.
You have a lovely room.

Love your valance...do you mind if I use your idea?

Sure would help with depleting the stash.

Room is great...

How did you make that wonderful valance!??? Please give instructions - including how many strips you needed.

Really nice room, and I love the idea for the valance. Think I will do that in my utility-stash room.

Thanks everyone. You're welcome to use any of the things you see. I got them from things I seen on the internet or in magazines. I moved the hoosier in because it was in the garage and my sister said if I didn't find a better use for it she would take it. Ha! It really holds a lot of things. My brother use to live in a house that had a Holly Hobbie girl painted on the wall. I always wanted to do something like that so I thought a quilt block was appropriate for the room (and a lot easier). For the valance I used 4.5 x 15 inch strips. I did buy some fabric because I wanted them all to be different. I bought 1/8 yd and cut 2-4.5 x 15 strips (I made 2 valances).
