I just tried one as a sample and it's really really cool!

Maybe I should have chosen something with a bit fewer little spaces because they're really hard to cut out. It was a lot of fun!

You just tried that Melanie? Wow, it's great! Was it hard to do?

well, I can't say it was hard, but I'm not sure I was doing it exactly right, I had a really really hard time clipping the extra batting without clipping the organza on top. Plus it was really hard to get right on the edge without accidentally cutting the outline thread.

I re-did the same pattern but it reverse, like, I traced out my symbol and cut it out of my fabric, like a negative of the last one, and placed it over my batting, then put my organza on top and quilted away. It worked much much better, but I'm not sure I could do that on a big item like a quilt. I'll keep playing around with it, and in a few weeks when the patterns and instructions are out, I'll get those from Geta.

Melanie, did you sleep last night ? That little piece is great. As you will practice you will gain more experience.

If you clip the organza, don't be afraid. Organza is so sheer so after quilting the hole will not be noticed ( I know because a few times I clipped mine).

If you cut the outline thread and that piece of batting don't want to stay in its place, you can stitch it by hand (or use a little glue).
