esqmommy, It was a renewal of vows for their 25th wedding anniversary. They didn't do the ceremony. She just wasn't up to it. But they did dress up and have the pictures taken, then we went and had a wonderful dinner. She has such a wonderful time and we will all treasure that memory.

The quilt will for to her husband when it is finished.

BlueChicken, your ideas are giving me ideas. At least now I have a jumping off place. Before, my mind was totally blank. Thank you.

I will keep you updated on the progress and will definitely post after it is done.

So sorry for your loss. That is a beautiful plan for a memory quilt. I could see each of the ideas in a wonderful quilt. Maybe asking him what he would like and acutlaly use would be a good idea. Maybe an Irish Chain that he would use and a crazy quilt wall hainging memory box type of thing for saving! Just a thought!

I am so sorry for the loss of your sister. May God be with you and your entire family and comfort you.
She was beautiful and the dresses are exquisite. They will make a wonderful memory quilt. It would be great if you could transfer the pictures onto fabric and include them.
You are in my prayers.
