I bet your son is so proud of that quilt! As he should be. And I know you are so very proud of him. Please tell him that we all are so proud of him and all of those serving overseas. And at home! Beautiful quilt for a handsome guy!!! Congrats

the quilt was worth coming home for. Where is your son stationed. My son was in the Navy. He was killed 20yr. ago April aboard the battleship Iowa. God Bless your son,I don't think they consider the quilt Navy Issue. Wouldn't it make quarters a little more brighter, maybe your son could start a new trend LOL.

I am so sorry to hear of your losing your son on the Iowa. My son is currently stationed in Pensacola Florida, he has some more traing to do in AW. He should finish there and then be sent to his FRAC around May or June. We are praying that he will get to come to San Diego, then he will be only a 3-4 hour drive or so. He is a Rescue Swimmer.

Well now, he is grinning from ear to ear, so I would have to guess that he is thrilled with it. What did he say?

Mmmm, there's something so very cosy looking about being wrapped up in a quilt. And when the quilt is as gorgeous as the one you made your son, no wonder he's looking all happy and comfortable.
