    I think it is wonderful.
I hope he is reading this post so he knows what a good job we think he is doing and how awesome it is to have him recognize he has the talent and put his skills to work.
I very much enjoyed the work in progress photos. I like seeing his concentration, how he is handling the squares and seeing his hands when he is sewing. He appears to be very thoughtful and careful, knowing our equipment can be dangerous to the human flesh.
I wish I knew his name so I could say in first person "Good job! Congratulations! Awesome! Keep up the good work!"
I think it was so special of him to tell you "I am happy to be here".

You guys are all so kind. I read him the first two pages, and now he is choosing his next block!

I guess my quilting will have to wait until Monday :)

He did a wonderful job and he looks so proud. Tell him Good Job from me and keep quilting. He may be designing them and selling them soon.

Goodness, that is awesome. My 12 year old grandson helped me sew patches when he visited last June. It was a quilt for his little brother and when he saw the finished quilt he told him mom "I helped Grandma make that one". I love it!!

Buy that young man his own machine and let him do his thing!! He did a great job. Mema's can often spark talents that mother's could not possibly get started. Don't we just love our grannies!

Looks like his Mema made a big impression on him. Love his comment "I'm just happy to be here." His star block is very good and he is definitely a quilter in the making. What does he plan to do with his block?

Congratulations Mema for creating a quilter. You better start sending some of your stash to Michael to keep him busy.

He did a great job with a difficult pattern. I wish I did that as well as he did with his first project.
