My 9 year old son has been begging to sew since visiting his Mema. She taught him how to use the sewing machine. I let him do it today. He sat down at the machine and I asked if the chair was okay. He said, "I am just happy to be here."

I drew lines for him to sew on, squared up his blocks and helped him hold the ruler, he did everything else.

What do you think?

All done!

I believe he has a future in the quilting business...

What a pretty block, and his points are better than mine LOL

I'd say the smile says it all!!!

Looks like your young quilter knows what he's doing and does it very carefully.

Excellent job!

I think that he did really well! Well done! I taught both my sons at about this age too. I think that this is the best age when they are curious and interested! Love the block. What will you do with it?
