Spending time with a child is never wasted time. It is cherished memories for both.

What a wonderful way to preserve his artwork. I think you may have inspired many Moms and Grandmas to do the same with their kids/grandkids. You did a great job and you have a very special quilt designer. :-D

What a super thing for you to do! He will be so proud some day. I wish I were talented enough to go through some of the pictures I have from my boys and grandkids and do something like this.... I may try, but doubt I have the talent you do. Thanks so much for the pics and sharing - and ideas too even if I feel totally intimidated.

What an awesome son and mom you guys are! Wonderful pics and quilts!!! I've been making things with my DGD this week since they're visiting from IN. I'm so glad that my DD thought to bring some special projects for all of us to do together!
