Thanks...The border is a strip cut from a co-ordinating fabric that had a lot of brown in it that I didn't want to use so I just cut out the strip I wanted.

Funny you should say that about butterflies...while I was playing around with the blocks I laid them in a certain way that looked just like butterflies. I'll post a pic. later. I think it would make a beautiful quilt.

This is what I'm calling a butterfly. It takes 4 dresden sections to make the center motif on the runner...this is 2 of them with 2 plain blocks instead of dresden sections. Looks just like a butterfly to me. Not sure about the center body part though...hmmmmm!! Maybe a solid color??? Stripes might not have been the best choice either.
