I just wrote to the author of the pattern to see whether the pattern is in a book or available as a stand alone. I'll let you know when I hear back.

I heard back from Cathy Wierzbicki already! Here's what she had to say:

"Regarding Pineapple Nine-Patch, the pattern is available in the book "Geometric Gems." It is also available in a slightly simplified version called "Mock Pineapple". This is a stand-alone pattern available from my website or directly from me. Your local shop can order either for you if you prefer to get it that way.

Regardless of the pattern you choose, you can either make your own templates or use the Tri-Recs tools which is my preference."
