Default My very first quilt - 1982

I found it!!! Cleaning the attic for first time in 18 years...thanks to the winter that trashed our house...so happy to have found it!

I made it for my daughter Ali before she was born, to fit an antique white wicker bassinet I had been given. I made matching bumpers for it and tied them on with little ribbons. I remember carefully thinking out the pattern to look basket-weave. I cut with scissors and went somewhat by the Michael James (?) book from years ago for instruction.

I never quilted another thing, or gave it a thought, until I made a quilt on the spur of the moment as a baby gift 4 years ago, and I have been quilting ever since. This is a happy reunion for me. And it's better constructed than I had imagined! LOL
