I have done all I can to get my pic. to come in. So It has to do with something on this computer that needs adjusting. Sooo I am going to send this attic window wip if it comes thru to be able to download even let me know please. I will have to get my computer geek to come and set it for me. Bill'sBonBon

There could be a chance your file size is too big.

Hello Moonpi,

I'm trying very unsucessfully to do a n attic windows baby quilt. I see you cut your sincow sills longer than the block. Do you cut off the bottom tags on those? I am sure I cut my sills to short because they aren't coming together right. I'm almost re ady to through in the towel and just do blocks. I saw one that just did half square triangles in the corners. Guess I could try tha way. I printed the side template pieces on line some where and have cut a lot of them hoping I don't run out of one of the fabrics. I made 5 inch blocks. Any ideas you have will surely help. I saw another one on here somewhere that seems like you helped on. Hope you have ideas.

BillsBonBon made those, but there are a few different ways to do attic windows. You can do the traditional methid with the Y seams, uise half square triangles in the corners, or place a square over the strip, face down, sew on the diagonal, and cut off the remainder. I think one os ShellyQ's tutorials on beginner blocks may show that method.

When machine piecing, sometimes I leave more than the 1/4 from the Y, and go back in with thread and needle.

Thanks that makes sense. I'll have to give it a try. I just don't want to waste all that John Deere pink I had to special order. You'll have to go back and read the little thing I put on here about being politically correct. It's petty cute.

Thanks again,
