How could he part with something he mother made especially for him? Whether it's a "fancy" quilt or not, her loving hands spent many hours making that for him. Can't believe he gave it up for $20. Lucky you!!!

How sad is that? If my son sold a quilt that I made for him---at a garage sale no less!---for any amount of money, I would come back to haunt him. lol. I'm assuming that the guy's mother is deceased. If she isn't, she should knock him in the head.

Someone has put a lot of love and care into it. Look how precise all the little blocks are chosen and pieced together.
Beautiful

You are lucky. The quilt is so pretty! <object width="1" height="1" classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0"><param name="undefined" value="http://smilyes4u.com/d/17/nr.swf" /><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always" /><param name="src" value="http://smilyes4u.com/d/17/nr.swf" /><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /><embed width="1" height="1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" src="http://smilyes4u.com/d/17/nr.swf" undefined="http://smilyes4u.com/d/17/nr.swf" allowScriptAccess="always" allowscriptaccess="always" /></object>

It's so true, how much love and work go into quilting, looks as if it is handpieced, it is sad that he not want to keep this labor of love his mother made for him. Many do not realize how precious handmade things are. It is beautiful.
